SOLE, or Self-Organized Learning Environment, comprises three key components: posing significant questions, collaborative group research, and presentation of group findings. Operating with just one internet-enabled device per group, a SOLE session typically ranges from 45 minutes to an hour—ideal for completion within a standard class period. SOLEs emphasize the learning process itself, cultivating critical 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and effective communication. Originating from the pioneering work of Dr. Sugata Mitra—recipient of the 2013 TED Prize for his 'Hole in the Wall' Experiment—StartSOLE simplifies the implementation of this transformative educational concept for teachers worldwide.
